This was taken into consideration and for FC2 the only thing StarForce does, is an online verification procedure. Online LOMAC has a bad rep because of the StarForce DRM, leading in certain cases to the actual breakdown of CD-ROM/DVD-players, besides installing software which spies on your harddrive. One of the reasons I went for SF2:E and not FC2 was: I couldn't wrap my head around the following: A few days ago, I bought Strike Fighters 2: Europe.
