The Bartley can use any of the other forearm plate weapons developed for the other Ride Armors, but it's common to see it using the RL-6 Due to the limited numbers of females serving on the front lines, Bartley are only as common as the more expensive Blowsperior. The Bartley served as the basis for the later VR-52 for male soldiers.
The Bartley's main weapon was the RL-6, a heavy hand-held rocket launcher which attached to the forearm plateīut could also be used by a normal human. Featuring light armor but faster speed than it's later brothers, the Bartley proved to be a big success and every female front line soldier was instructed in their use and received one in short order. Women in the Mars Base military are rarely seen in front line combat roles, and the small number which were often felt they needed to prove something and were highly skilled, making them perfect for the first mass produced model of the then experimental Bartleys. The most promising concept was that of the combination Armor Bike/Ride Armor, a high speed motorcycle with transformed in batte armor. As Mars Base realised the need to give infantry troops the heavy weapon, armor and manverability to fight against the Inbit mecha.
